Why we verify every member and how the selfie check works.
Every active member on Ulfa is verified. This is what makes the community feel like a community: when you see a profile, you know there's a real person behind it.
How it works
After onboarding you'll be prompted to record a short selfie video following an on-screen pose (for example, "turn your head left, then right"). A reviewer compares the selfie to your profile photos and confirms the match.
Turnaround
Most submissions are reviewed within a few hours. You'll get a notification as soon as a decision is made. If we need a re-take, the message explains exactly what to fix.
Privacy of your selfie
- Selfies are stored in a private vault — they are never shown on your profile.
- Only reviewers can access them, and every access is logged for audit.
- You can request deletion of your selfie at any time once you're verified.
What you unlock
Once verified, your profile becomes visible, the verified badge appears, and you can send and receive connection requests.
