Messages
How conversations work once a request is accepted.
Last updated 2026-05-29
Once a request is accepted, a private conversation opens between you and the other person.
What you can send
- Text messages
- Image attachments (subject to content review)
What you'll see
- Read receipts when the other person opens your message
- Typing indicators while they're composing
Closed conversations
If one of you blocks the other, or either profile is removed, the conversation closes. Closed conversations remain visible read-only for a short period before being archived.
Safety
- We scan every message for safety signals. Anything that looks unsafe is flagged for review without exposing your private content unless escalated.
- You can report a message directly from the long-press menu.
- Never share your phone number, address, or financial details with someone you haven't met. See Blocking & reporting for what to do if something feels off.
